Together with PKO Bank Polski Biegajmy Razem we not only run, but also help!
During our event, we invite you to take part in the charity campaign “I run for Emilka and Oskar”.
Our little heroes:
– 2.5-year-old Emilka was born with a congenital defect of the central nervous system and hydrocephalus. She needs multidimensional rehabilitation. Emilka is a ward of the Pieniny Children Foundation.
– 8-year-old Oskar was born prematurely, which caused many health consequences. The boy suffers from Short Bowel Syndrome, and grade V retinopathy led to loss of vision. Due to psychomotor delay, he requires rehabilitation. Oskar is a ward of the Słoneczko Foundation.
How can you help?
– Take a special sticker at the race office.
– Place a sticker on your starting number.
– Run your distance for Emilka and Oskar.
– As part of the campaign, PKO Bank Polski Foundation will make a donation to Emilka and Oskar.
Let’s run together for Emilka and Oskar!
When you are in Szczawnica, be sure to plan a cycling trip around Lake Czorsztyńskie – it is definitely one of the most beautiful cycling trails in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and in the whole of Poland.
The “Around Czorsztyńskie Lake” bicycle path, popularly known as VeloCzorsztyn, runs along the shores of Lake Czorsztyńskie, offering beautiful views of the lake itself, as well as Gorce, Pieniny, and Tatra Mountains in the distance.
Additionally, historical castles in Czorsztyn and Niedzica-Zamek and a ferry crossing. It sounds like a perfect proposition for everyone, including families with children. In the northern part, the route is mostly an idyllic ride right above the water. In the southern part, where the trip runs along the VeloDunajec route, we will encounter several demanding climbs.
You can start or end the trip with a ferry crossing from Czorsztyn to Niedzica (this is a suggested option).
You can also complete the loop around the lake with a steep mountain climb to the Osice Pass, which gives us a total of approx. 38 km (this section is a public road).
On Sunday morning (April 21), together with On – On Running Polska we invite you to a 5 km Energy Run.
The run will be led by Team On, consisting of: Kasia Solińska, Maciej Dombrowski, Konrad Biela, Kaja Kajuth, Karolina Obstój, Jacek Sobas and Dominika Stelmach.
We start at 9:00 from Lower Park (Park Dolny) in Szczawnica.
It will be about 5 kilometers of easy running in the beautiful nature of the Pieniny Mountains.
The route will lead along the promenade along Grajcarek stream and then along the Pieniny Road along the Dunajec River towards the border with Slovakia.
Energy for your morning run will be provided by delicious, freshly brewed ENERGY BLEND coffee from HAYB Speciality Coffee, which will be waiting for you at the start of the run.
Participation in the event is free of charge. Everyone’s invited!
Are you a fan of unique flavors? Choose the direction to Palenica!
Delicious a’la carte dishes inspired by regional cuisine are waiting for you at Willa i Restauracja Pod Kolejką. It’s the perfect place for lunch or dinner with your loved ones. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, right next to the Palenica lower railway station. The served dishes will please even the most demanding palates.
During mountain walks, be sure to visit Szałas Palenica located at the upper railway station. Szałas offers original dishes for every little hunger and relaxation on the terrace with a unique view of the Tatra and Pieniny Mountains. We especially recommend the specialty of Szałas – the Palenica Burger. Delicious!
