  • Any adult participant may take part in the race, provided they: register for the race using the registration form, accept the event rules along with statements concerning personal data protection and processing, image usage, and lack of medical contraindications to participate in the event, and pay the entry fee.
  • Participants aged 16-17 may also take part in the race, but they are required to have the consent of their parents or legal guardians, including their signature. A condition for their admission to the start is the presence of a parent or guardian with a valid ID at the time of participant verification at the Race Office.
  • To participate in the 13th Pieniny Ultra-Trail®, you can choose one of two paths:
    • Traditional – by filling out the registration form and paying the regular entry fee.
    • Charity – by participating in the #BiegamDobrze campaign, which is regulated by Annex No. 1 to these Rules.
  • Registration will be conducted in the following stages:

  • Withdrawal after February 28, 2026, during the race, or failure to appear at the start does not entitle to a refund of the entry fee.
  • Until April 17, 2026, at 12:00, the participant may transfer their entry fee to another person (the person to whom the package is being transferred should register in the registration system, while the person giving up the package should log into their account in the registration system and make the electronic change of registration).
  • From April 17, 2026, after 12:00, transferring the package to another person is only possible at the Race Office. The person giving up the package should, for this purpose, fill out the appropriate authorization available for download from the race website, send it by email to: info@pieninyultratrail.pl, and the person taking over the package should report to the Race Office to complete the formalities (acceptance of required statements, data change on the starting list).
  • Transferring the package to another person is free of charge, and a course change is also possible after the package transfer – see point 12.
  • The organizer does not refund the entry fee to persons who did not complete the race or did not participate in the race, nor does the organizer transfer the entry fee to other/subsequent races.
  • Detailed procedures for transferring packages, along with authorizations, can be found on the race website.
  • The option for electronic transfer of registration to another person will be made available during the registration period, so before it is launched, the person giving up the package should send the details of both people (names, surnames, email addresses, and the course to which the registration applies) to: info@pieninyultratrail.pl.
  • The Organizer allows for the change of the course previously declared by the participant. The change is possible via the registration panel (zapisy.strefaprzygod.pl) after logging into the user’s account, but it depends on the availability of packages on other courses.
  • In the case of switching to a longer distance, the participant should pay the difference in the entry fee between the distances (the difference is calculated based on the date of the original payment).
  • In the case of switching to a shorter distance, the Organizer refunds the difference in the entry fee according to the refund schedule:
  • By January 31, 2026, the difference in the entry fee between the distances will be refunded after deducting a 5 PLN handling fee.
  • Between February 1 and February 28, 2026, 50% of the difference in the entry fee between the distances will be refunded.
  • Reporting a change after February 28, 2026, does not entitle to a refund of the difference in the entry fee between the distances.

  • At the Race Office, participants receive starter packs containing, among other things: a bib number, a time measurement chip, safety pins, and a map of the race courses.
  • Starter packs can be collected during the Race Office operating hours, in accordance with the schedule published on the race website. Packages not collected at the Race Office will not be sent or issued at a later date.
  • Every participant will receive a bib number and a chip at the Race Office.
  • Throughout the duration of the race, participants are required to wear the bib number placed on the front in a place visible to the judges, and the chip attached to the shoe – other placement of the chip does not guarantee a correct reading by the measurement system, which may lead to disqualification or incorrect time measurement of the participant.
  • Measurement mats are located at selected aid stations. The participant is obliged to pass through the aid station along the full designated route, even if they do not intend to use the aid station. Skipping a point is equivalent to shortening the course, which may result in a time penalty or disqualification.

    • Saturday, 25.05.2026: 10:00 – 21:00 for participants of the Wielka Prehyba, Żwawe Wierchy, Chyża Durbaszka, Hardy Rolling courses.
  • With the exception of short sections, the routes are mostly led along mountain tourist trails.

  • Any changes to the final course route will be published in the technical guide.
  • Throughout the race, participants must only travel along the route indicated by the Organizer.
  • Organized assistance from third parties (support) is permitted in the aid station zones. Any organized assistance during the sports competition on the course outside the designated zones is forbidden. Participants using organized support outside the aid stations will be penalized with disqualification.
  • The Organizer allows assistance from third parties on the course in cases where it is spontaneous assistance, e.g., from another participant or a gesture of hospitality from residents of the towns through which the routes lead, as well as people encountered on the courses.
  • Driving to the mountain shelters: Schronisko na Przehybie and Schronisko pod Durbaszką is forbidden. Any assistance at these points requires reaching them in another way. At the remaining points, special care should be taken when driving to and parking near the aid stations. Additional information regarding access and traffic in the vicinity of the aid stations will be published on the website pieninyultratrail.pl.
  • In order to maintain a smooth start, start zone markings based on ITRA scoring will be prepared. Checking the current scoring will be possible on the website itra.run. A given score corresponds to a correlating running time, so participants without an ITRA ranking should position themselves in the zone of their expected running time. Detailed information will be available on the Event website.
  • All activities that may violate the natural beauty of the areas through which the race routes lead are prohibited, especially: littering, destroying vegetation, disturbing the silence in nature reserves, lighting fires, etc.
  • All garbage must be left at the aid stations or carried to the finish line.
  • Participants who violate the applicable environmental protection rules during the event will be disqualified.

  • Leaving valuable items (phones, documents) in deposits is prohibited.
  • The Organizer draws the participants’ attention to the multiplicity of dangers and risks resulting from participation in the sports event, associated with great physical exertion, which may include, among others, the risk of loss of life and health. The Organizer recommends undertaking appropriate medical examinations or medical consultations, depending on the age and physical condition of the participant, before starting preparations for the competition and during preparations.
  • The Organizer is insured against civil liability towards the participants of the race.
  • The Organizer does not provide participants with Personal Accident Insurance (NNW). Participants should arrange insurance on their own.
  • The Organizer does not provide any life, health, or civil liability insurance against illness, accident, injury, death, or any losses or damages that may occur in connection with the presence or participation in the race.

  • Medical services or the Organizer may prohibit a participant from continuing the race if there is suspicion of poor health threatening the participant’s life or health.
  • By accepting these Rules, the participant confirms that participation in the race involves physical effort and entails a natural risk and danger of accidents, the possibility of bodily injury and physical trauma (including death). Submitting a correctly completed registration form to the Organizer and paying the registration fee means that the participant has considered and assessed the nature, scope, and degree of risk associated with participation in the race and has voluntarily decided to take this risk, starting in the race solely at their own responsibility.
  • A condition for participation in the race is having an appropriate and current medical certificate allowing the start in the selected race or accepting the health condition statement during registration and confirming the lack of contraindications to participate in the race.
  • The Podhale GOPR (Mountain Rescue) Group and the Krynica GOPR (Mountain Rescue) Group will ensure the safety of participants on the race courses.
  • Regardless of the place of resignation, if a participant withdraws from the race during the competition, they are obliged to immediately notify the Organizer by phone on the number indicated on the bib number.
